Sorry I haven't been here in forever.
I spend way too much time on myspace.
I guess that contributes to not updating here much.

Started a new job on Oct 31st. I like it so far.

Hope you enjoyed the holidays. I did.

Life is great, today is my one year anniversary.

Well, sadly my poochies did not win the contest.  Thanks for the votes though.

I've been temping and working random promotional gigs on the week-ends.

I've even had the fortunate of being a Princess for a day!  This was especially delightful to see the look on a four year old's face when she greets Cinderella on her birthday!

More later... the clock is ticking and I don't want my carriage to turn into a pumpkin!

How is it that someone knows what they want to be when they grow up? I've never really had one strong passion for anything in particular. I find myself having random jobs and seem to rule out things that I don't want to do again.

I think I'll take those personality tests again and see what they say.

I took one on Monster.com and it was pretty accurate... now if only I can figure out which kind of job to apply that too... hmmmm

*** Stephanie, the right jobs for you would allow you to be Creative and Analytical ***

You're a visionary in many people's eyes — able to think outside the box and to come up with your own solutions. You're creative not necessarily in the artistic sense, but because you can expand your mind to do things differently from others.

It might take a while for colleagues to recognize and reward you for your entrepreneurial spirit and abilities. That could be because they envy you, or because they find your ideas slightly rebellious — willing to go against the current.

All in all, you make it hard for people to pigeon hole you. That is why you, more than others, need a job that allows you to play to your strengths, break out of the mold, and truly excel.

We attempted to snorkle here but it was the wrong time of day. It's so beautiful we didn't mind just hanging out.

We pulled over and took this one on the super curvy road to Hana.

I really enjoyed hanging out in Lahaina.  What an awesome huge old banyon tree.

Baby Pineapple's are cute

The submarine trip was okay, not much to write home about.  It was good as far as 2 for the price of 1.  Even better, I took a picture of this picture below instead of paying $20! What a steal!

We hiked up Diamondhead crater at Waikiki (seen here on the lower right)... and I complained a little bit... just ask Steve.

The waterfalls were beautiful and wet. Very refreshing.

I love my sweet hubby!

I'm glad he bought me the "Hawaii for Dummies" book otherwise we would have totally missed this remote romantic spot.

When are we going back?

I guess the photos will speak for themselves.  We took more than 700 photos, it's going to be hard to narrow it down to a few... enjoy!

This is the view from our room in Kaanapali Beach in Maui.

This is the Royal Hawaiian where we stayed while in Waikiki, Oahu.

The kona coffee was yummy, especially with a view like this one.

The newspaper guy and his dog where a little strange but fun.

I loved the convertible in Maui.

My hubby is the best. He is a great tour guide too.

Dating Steve was special but being married to him is the best! Our 10 day honeymoon in Hawaii was delightful and yummy.

Maybe one of these days soon I can post some stories and photos about what we did and saw.

Happy and refreshed.

IT'S FRIDAY THE 13TH ... ARE YOU SUPERSTITIOUS?

Superstitions about Friday the 13th being unlucky have existed since ancient times.

~Romans thought 13 was a sign of death and destruction.

~The fear of the number 13 is called triskaidekaphobia.

~In French Lick Springs, Indiana, a law was once passed requiring all black cats to wear bells.

~Many hotels have no room number 13; many buildings have no 13th floor, and many airplanes have no 13th row. Ralph Branca, a pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers wore #13, and playfully posed with black cats before the 1951 play-offs. He would become famous in the play-offs for surrendering Bobby Thomson's "shot heard round the world" home run, one of the most famous home runs of all time.

~In the 18th century, the British government sought to quell the superstitions surrounding ships setting sail on Friday. A special ship was commissioned, named the H.M.S. Friday. They laid her keel on a Friday, selected a crew on a Friday - including a man named Jim Friday to be her captain. To top it off, H.M.S. Friday embarked on her maidenvoyage on Friday the 13th and was never seen or heard from again. Since then, ships are not usually launched on that date.

~The Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in Asheville, NC estimates that in the United States alone, $800-$900 million is lost in business each Friday the 13th, because people will not go to work or travel.

Damn I should've stayed home.  Thanks for the tidbits Stefanie!
